  • Filesystem Hierarchy Standard (FHS)
  • Navigate the filesystem
  • View and edit text files (nano, vim)
  • Create, copy, move, rename, delete
  • Find files (find, locate, grep)
  • Pipelines: sort, filter, basic regex, tr
  • Work with binary files; diff text and binaries

Users and groups
